Sveriges Fotterapeuter was founded in 1999 from a fusion of two smaller organisations.

Sveriges Fotterapeuter is a branch of professionals from podiatrists in Sweden and consists of twenty districts, with a local board in each district and one union executive committee located in Stockholm.

Sveriges Fotterapeuter is responsible for further education of members, central and local, for all twentyone districts.
